Air Canada received its first of thirty seven Boeing B787 Dreamliners in May 2014.

The airline started a new Low Cost Carrier in 2013 called 'rouge' - aimed at providing services to Holiday Destinations in the Caribbean and Europe. The LCC started with two Airbus A319s and two Boeing 767-300ERs; both with high density seating.

Airline hires pilots into mainline or rouge depending upon needs. 

*Each new hire course consists of 20 new pilots; 16 from Jazz and 4 off the street. Air Canada reserves the right to hire up to 100% solely from Jazz.

*Starting February 2016, will have one class of new hires each month, indefinitely.

*Medical: Candidates must pass Air Canada and Transport Canada Medicals. Visual Acuity requirements for Category 1 Medical.



* Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada.
* Must hold Canadian Professional Pilot Licences and Medical.
