FlightSafety Introduces Two New Caravan Sims

2016 01 27

The FAA has signed off on two new Level D Cessna Caravan flight simulators produced by FlightSafety International. The two sims are being added to the company’s Wichita East Learning Center, located at the Beech Factory Airport (KBEC), and provide the highest level of simulation available for Caravan customers.

The full motion devices offer FlightSafety’s Vital 1100 visual system, which allows customers to practice all phases of flight in a wide variety of weather conditions with day or night visuals that allow for continuous time through dawn and dusk. The worldwide database includes geo-specific satellite images, which provides realistic imagery. High definition micro texture also adds to the clarity of the images.

The new Caravan simulators also offer modern avionics. One sim is equipped with Garmin G1000 integrated avionics suite while the other has Garmin G600 avionics.
