The Industry 2010 and beyond

General Pilot Training / Flight School information for USA

After many years of Major Airline Furloughs, we are starting to see some positive signs. Delta Airlines is expanding internationally and is looking for additional pilots to help with the expansion.

Demand is starting to return and airlines are seeing fuller airplanes and more advanced bookings.

Regional Airlines feeding the majors continue to flourish and grow. There will be more hiring at the Regional Level in 2010 and beyond.

Also the success of the low cost airline model developed by Southwest in the late 80's continues today. Airlines such as Southwest, Frontier, jetBlue, AirTran, Spirit Airlines, Sun Country, Allegiant, Virgin America continue to grow and prosper. This will result in more pilots being recruited.

Due to the tightened security at all US airports, high wealth individuals and corporations can see the benefits of private aviation - away from busy terminals and huge airports. Corporate/Private Aviation is starting to rebound again and many operators will be recruiting pilots for their business jets.
