Airline hires pilots into mainline or rouge depending upon needs. 

* Each new hire course consists of 20 new pilots.

* One class of new hires each month, indefinitely.

*Medical: Candidates must pass Air Canada and Transport Canada Medicals. Visual Acuity requirements for Category 1 Medical.

Air Canada Pilots are primarily drawn from Air Canada Express pilots (Jazz, SkyRegional, Air Georgian, EVAS) through the Pilot Mobility Agreement (PMA). Each new hire course consists of up to 80% PMA pilots and the remainder as "off the street" hires.
