ExcelAire’s fleet of charter planes is expanding as the Ronkonkoma-based charter flight company adds a private Gulfstream G450 jet to its fleet, giving the organization eight types of aircraft.
ExcelAire President Robert Molsbergen said the plane, which is “equipped with all of the amenities for a comfortable and stress-free trip for business or leisure,” would offer “another option for luxurious, long-range private jet travel.”
The plane, which seats up to 14 passengers, has a two-zone cabin and can fly non-stop from the East Coast of the United States to Europe.
It also can fly to any other region in the world with one stop, making it one of the company’s best aircraft for international business travel, according to the firm.
“Our private jet fleet delivers superior comfort and reliability, and the ExcelAire aircraft are flown and maintained by pilots and maintenance professionals who are the best in the business,” Molsbergen said.
ExcelAire, which now has three Gulfstream planes, usually manages these aircraft for a private entity in Florida. When the planes are not being used, that entity makes them available for charter.
This jet is one of the newer Gulfstream aircraft and it complements the organization’s other large cabin planes in the fleet, due to size, age and range, according to a company spokesperson.
ExcelAire’s hourly rate varies from $4,900 to $7,000. The G450’s cost will vary depending on the trip’s length, but the company will usually charge about $5,000 per hour.
