Textron Aviation is reportedly ending the production of its Cessna Citation X+ business jet after a more than two decade run.

The business jet, which had been the company’s largest and fastest, had been previously reported as being near the end of its production life.

According to a report from the Wichita Eagle, the company confirmed the the end of production on Monday, citing its changing product lineup with the soon-to-be entry of its new Cessna Citation Longitude business jet.

Company representatives did not immediately reply to a request for additional information Monday afternoon.

The first Citation X was delivered in 1996 to golf legend and business aviation ambassador Arnold Palmer.

According to data from the General Aviation Manufacturers Association, the company, which is the local division of Textron Inc., delivered four of the jets in 2017 and one in the first quarter of 2018.
