Requirements Cessna 402 First Officer Requirements:

1) FAA Commercial Pilot License w/Airplane ME Land Instrument ratings
2) 500 hours Total time
3) 100 hours XC (point to point)
4) 25 hours night
5) 25 hours Instrument (Actual, simulated or FTD)
6) 15 hour ME (Preferred)


1) ATP Written
2) Bachelor’s Degree from an AABI accredited aviation program
3) One year of full time instruction
Restrictions * Must hold FAA Professional Pilot License / Medical.
* Must be legally entitled to live and work in the USA without restrictions.

Upon successful completion of your initial training, you will serve as a First Officer/SIC until completing the aeronautical experience required for your ATP. Thereafter your commitment to Cape Air as a Captain will be based on your total hours upon arrival to initial training.

Total Time and Commitment

500-800: 18 Months
800-PIC*: 15 Months
PIC*-ATP: 12 Months

*PIC hiring minimums are defined in 14 CFR 135.243(c)
